The entire Milwaukee Bucks team and coaching staff spread holiday cheer Tuesday during their annual visit with patients at the MACC Fund Center at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
The visit took place nearly 37 years to the day after the founding of the MACC Fund on Dec. 10, 1976, during halftime of a Bucks game when Jon McGlocklin’s jersey number 14 was retired.
As part of this year’s visit, the Bucks players donated an Xbox and a PlayStation gaming system, complete with games, as well as Bucks calendars and hats.
Sam’s Hope Literacy Foundation also donated new books for the Bucks to distribute to the children.
A long-time partner of the Bucks organization, Sam’s Hope works to encourage children to read at home each day, to achieve in school and to provide new books for children to own through over 20 joint projects each year.
