Celtics Fall to Suns, Ending Unbeaten Streak

C's Defense Finally Yields
Kevin Garnett scored 26 points Friday night but the Celtics lost to the Suns 110-103 at TD Garden, halting their unbeaten streak at six.
Rajon Rondo (14 points, 11 assists) notched a double-double as he keyed the C's rally attempt in the fourth quarter. Ray Allen and Paul Pierce tallied 16 points apiece. For only the second time this season, Boston was outshot from beyond the arc. The C's hit 4-18 attempts from 3-point land, compared with 13-24 for the Suns.
Continuing their hectic early-season schedule, the Celtics (6-1) visit the New Jersey Nets at 7:30 p.m. Saturday for their second back-to-back within five days.

2009 Shamrock Gala
The Boston Celtics raised over $700,000 for area children's charities at their annual Shamrock Gala, benefitting the Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation, at the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel. Proceeds from the event benefit the focus partners of the Shamrock Foundation including Perkins School for the Blind, Boston Children's Hospital, Horizons for Homeless Children, the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (MSPCC), and Berklee College of Music.
All of the Celtics players attended the event and took part in a session on stage where they impersonated one another other, answered questions from a moderator and played an entertaining game of pictionary.

Rajon Rondo Visits MSPCC's Kids Day
Rajon Rondo visited MSPCC's Kids Day on October 15, 2009 and participated in their afternoon meeting. Rondo spoke to the kids about his recent trip to Germany and pointed out to them where Germany falls on the global map.
During Rondo's visit, September's two Token Economy winners were introduced. Those two winners will be greeted at the next Kids Day by an afternoon of shopping with the Celtics' point guard.
