Nuggets Catch Fire, Beat Nets

The Nuggets exploded for 44 points in the third quarter to remain unbeaten (5-0) with a 122-94 road victory over the winless Nets on Wednesday. Anthony Named Player of the Week

With a scoring average of 37.7 ppg and two 40-point performances in three games, Nuggets forward Carmelo Anthony was honored as the Western Conference Player of the Week on Nov. 2 for games played Oct. 27 through Nov. 1. This marks the ninth Player of the Week award in Anthony's career. READ MORE

Even before the Nuggets got off to their hot start, enthusiasm for the 2009-10 season was swelling across Colorado. Balkman, Afflalo to remain Nuggets

The Nuggets management had a busy day on Oct. 31, finalizing deals that will keep reserves Renaldo Balkman and Arron Afflalo in Denver beyond the 2009-10 season.
